The infrastructure that sustains our ministry...
It may not look exciting – but this is some of GRN’s computing power and one of the storage arrays.
We have every hope that many thousands of people hear God’s word in a language they understand well and pray for God’s work in their hearts and minds to bring them to faith as GRN recordings are played and audio-visuals watched.
Our hope is based on the 4 million hours of audio gospel messages that were downloaded (in 2020) from GRN computer systems in over 6,000 different languages and dialects. Romans 10:17 assures us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
And so computer systems are vital to the ministry of GRN. The recording process requires computers, processing the new recordings and putting them into an accessible form requires computers, and distributing the finished product requires computers.
The desktop computer is an essential tool for everyday work with GRN Australia
We have a lot of data... terabytes of storage is needed for our recordings and other vital data.
GRN Australia has some aging computer equipment that needs replacing:
Replacement primary server
Replacement storage server
Additional storage capacity for the audio archive and backups
New network switches and other equipment
New and replacement desktop computers (8)
New and replacement laptops (2)
High resolution LCD Monitors (5)
