Chris grew up on a farm in Western Victoria while Cheryl comes from the outskirts of Brisbane. They met at Missionary Training College in Tasmania and have been with GRN for over 30 years.
After training as field recordists they were based in Kenya and then did itinerant recording work in French-speaking Africa. They also enjoyed four years living in Vanuatu where Chris worked with local believers to record the Good News of Jesus in various languages.
In 2010 they returned to Sydney so their three children could complete their schooling. Chris is a full-time member of the Studio team. He mostly improves the sound quality of some older recordings and then makes them available online and on our 5fish app. He is also available for short term recording trips. Cheryl works part time in the Prospect Studio. She helps identify some previously lost recordings and also improves the way others are labelled so they can be more easily found online.
