Meet Brad
Brad is a Recordist, on the lookout for opportunities to record in the field or in GRN’s studios.
Brad joined Global Recordings Network in January 2020 as a trainee recordist.
Brad and Bek are both originally from Queensland. Bek grew up in Brisbane and Brad was raised in Gympie and the Gold Coast, but has strong ties with Brisbane. They met at a church in Fairfield and married in 2014. They have three children: Zachary (born 2016), Eliott (2018) and Evelyn (2020).
Brad has worked as an engineer, as a technical designer, then for several years as a high school science and maths teacher. He was surprised one day by GRN’s advertisement for a trainee recordist and was immediately intrigued with GRN’s mission. He enrolled at Malyon Theological College and began working and studying
part-time for two years. During this time, Brad was able to clearly discern a calling of God to serve on mission with GRN.
part-time for two years. During this time, Brad was able to clearly discern a calling of God to serve on mission with GRN.
Despite complications during COVID, Brad completed a TAFE training course and has now commenced two recording projects in GRN’s studios, with hopes for future opportunities to record further afield. Brad is very grateful to be training with the experienced team in Sydney, and will serve GRN with Bek’s support while they raise their family.
In their spare moments, Brad enjoys playing with the kids at home, reading and following motorsport, particularly Formula 1. Bek works wholeheartedly as a full-time, stay-at-home mum and, when she gets the time, enjoys reading and writing, especially in the style of J.R.R. Tolkien.
